After heavy afternoon rain in Des Moines canceled the Class 3A #15 ranked PCM Softball team’s game at Grand View Christian Thursday night, the Mustangs summer sports teams welcome West Marshall to town tonight for single Heart of Iowa Conference games.

The ranked PCM softball team currently sits in a three-way tie for second place through four games in the league with a 3-1 record, while the Trojans are tied for fifth at 1-3. The Mustangs dominated the doubleheader between the two teams last year with 13-3 and 13-1 run-rule wins, which extended their winning streak in the series to four games. On the baseball diamond, PCM enters tonight’s game in third place in the conference with a 2-1 record. Class 2A #10 ranked West Marshall stands alone in first place in the league with 4-0 mark, and the Trojans have won their last three meetings against the Mustangs.

First pitch for both the PCM baseball and softball home games against West Marshall tonight are scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
