AURORA | A 34-year-old Aurora man told police an attempted car-jacker shot him in the leg early Sunday while he was in or near a west Aurora apartment complex. The man told police he was sitting in his car at about 2:45 a.m. when an unknown man opened the car door and attempted to steal the car.
Woman found dead in Glendale, death investigated as homicide
GLENDALE, Colo. — Police are investigating the death of a 42-year-old woman in Glendale this week as a homicide. Glendale Police officers responded around 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday to 635 S. Forest St. for a report about an "unresponsive" person. When they arrived, they found a woman, identified as Clarinda Blackburn, unconscious. She had obvious "blunt force" injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
