According to Colorado Parks and Wildlife Northeast Region , a wildfire has sparked on Barr Lake State Park property in the area of Picadilly Road and E. 128th Avenue, with this state park being located just north of the Denver airport.

The announcement was made at about 3:36 p.m., with CPW staff then estimating that the blaze was between two and three acres. At that point, it was unclear how the fire started.

Meanwhile, Lake County Government reported that a fire started near Interlaken in the Twin Lakes area at about 2:30 p.m. Firefighting crews were on the scene at that time. The public was asked to steer clear of the impacted area to allow emergency responders to conduct their work efficiently.

Additional information will likely be released about each fire as the day continues.

The determined it was due to a property fire in close proximity. No arson is suspected.

Rumor has it that the fire at Twin Lakes started due to campers. There was no lightning. If it was due to mans stupidity, I hope they're caught and charged.
