The more NFL scouts dig deep into J.J. McCarthy’s tape, the more they seem to like him.
The Michigan star went from being a borderline first-round pick to potentially a top-five selection in the upcoming NFL Draft.
More than that, two teams could engage in a bit of a bidding war to get him.
According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the Denver Broncos and Minnesota Vikings are both interested in McCarthy and have become legitimate potential destinations for him (via The Purple Persuasion).
"Multiple TEAMS believe Minnesota or Denver could be trade-up options for McCarthy" per @JFowlerESPN 👀
Looks like the #Vikings and #Broncos are the most IN on J.J. McCarthy.

Apparently, both teams are exploring all avenues to try and trade up.
The Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Chargers are the two teams most likely to trade down with them, although the New England Patriots could also consider it if they get a massive haul in return for their No. 3 selection.
McCarthy has drawn plenty of praise for his ability to rise up to the occasion when his team needed him the most, and while he wasn’t asked to do a lot in Michigan’s run-heavy offense, the tape shows that he can make every NFL-caliber throw in the book.
Also, the fact that he spent three years playing for Jim Harbaugh makes scouts and executive believe that the transition to the pros will be a smooth one.
The Broncos moved on from Russell Wilson and continue their never-ending pursuit for a franchise-caliber quarterback.
The Vikings, on the other hand, have Sam Darnold under contract, but they know he might not be their long-term solution at the position.
