We’ve already seen several changes to the Denver Broncos’ roster since Sean Payton has come on board as head coach. Perhaps the biggest has been their large investment in the trenches, signing two starting offensive linemen for a combined total of as much as $109 million.
Yet, more changes could soon be coming.
The Broncos have been linked to several trades involving two of their talented wide receivers, with Pro Bowler Courtland Sutton and also former first-round pick Jerry Jeudy.
While teams routinely have discussions regarding their players, trying to gauge their values to determine whether a trade may make sense, we now have a better understanding of what the Broncos may be seeking for Sutton.
Here’s what we’ve heard from Sportsnaut’s Benjamin Allbright:
“Sutton on the other hand can likely be had for a day 3 pick. It affords Denver some cap relief and his skillset is likely redundant with Tim Patrick in the new offense Sean Payton will be running. I know of several teams interested in Sutton and would be surprised if he were not moved.”

As he mentioned, several teams have interest in adding the 6-foot-4 receiver who posted a 1,112-yard season in just his second year as a pro back in 2019. Still just 27, Sutton has a lot to offer as a big-bodied receiver whose size plays well in the red zone.

Being that the Broncos may be willing to part with him for a pick falling somewhere in rounds 4-7 if Denver is serious about clearing some cap space, teams in need of another capable receiver shouldn’t hesitate to pick up the phone.
