The Denton Independent Order of Odd Fellows (I.O.O.F) Lodge #82 awarded Deputy Preston Dunlap as the Officer of the Year. Muzljakovich didn’t pick up a camera until she was 15 and won a scholarship to a summer art program where her love of photography started to bloom. THE COLONY, Texas — A 49-year-old man from Denton County has been sentenced to federal prison for distributing child pornography, according to U.S. Attorney Damien M. Diggs. James Buck Briggs, of The Colony, Texas, pleaded guilty to two counts of distributing child pornography and was sentenced to 240 months in federal prison by U.S. District Judge Amos Mazzant.

James Buck Briggs, a 49-year-old resident of The Colony, was sentenced Wednesday to 20 years in federal prison for two counts of distributing child pornography. In December 2021, an undercover officer encountered Briggs in an online chatroom dedicated to child sexual abuse, according to a press release from the Eastern District Court of Texas.
