It's September 1, and I don't care what anyone says - in my mind, it's the start of Pre-Halloween. Hey, if people can start decorating for Christmas in November, why not prep for Halloween in September? I promise to at least hold off on putting up spooky yard decor till the official start of fall...

Luckily, stores are already gearing up for the annual Pre-Halloween rush, including the ever-popular retailer Target. Halloween sections are already popping up in Target stores across the country, and they've got a lot of cute finds that spooky shoppers will want to snag!

Toy collector and horror kitsch lover @beastietoyz introduced Target's latest line of Halloween decor to his followers, and there's a lot to love here. Not all of these finds were created equal (sorry, I wasn't a fan of the glossy flat plastic wall art), but it's not hard to find other creeptastically cute decorations to bolster your Halloween decorating arsenal!

Awesome Animatronics (Featuring a Familiar Face)

Target's already rolling out the ever-popular Halloween yard animatronics, and there's a very familiar face among the lot. Lewis, the sassy Pumpkin Ghoul and viral icon who took the internet by storm last Halloween season, is back in action once more! Welcome back, king - it's like you never left.

Target shoppers can bring the unlikely 8-foot-tall internet celebrity back home with them for the reasonable price of $180. If you want to fill out your front yard with a few more of Lewis' friends, you can also pick up Bruce the Skeleton Ghoul (also 8 feet tall, also $180) and the 70"-tall, glam rock-inspired Pumpkin Rocker Billy for $150. It's a ghoulish family reunion!

Haunting Halloween Decor on a Budget

Target's iconic animatronics might be the stars of this Halloween extravaganza, but they're objectively the most expensive finds, too. Luckily, there's no shortage of great budget-friendly Halloween decorations going for $30 or under. Some highlights I spotted in Beastie Toyz's video included:

    • Hyde and Eek! Skull Candy Bowl ($25): I loved the classic, Scooby-Doo -esque kind of horror kitsch this prop had. The 8" bowl's glowing, spinning eyes and spooky sound effects are noise-activated and are sure to catch more than a few costumed candy collectors off-guard. It sure puts the 'trick" back into "trick-or-treating!"
    • 4pk Black and White Foam Halloween Decorative Tombstone Set ($10): You don't have to break the bank to craft a ghoulish graveyard at home. Each of these tombstones measures 17.62" tall by 11" wide, and there are also several colorfully painted variations (including a pastel set) going for the same price. Target also has larger light-up versions of their foam tombstones going for $10-20 apiece!
    • Hyde and Eek! Light-Up Emerging Skull Frame ($20): With its ornate, Haunted Mansio n-esque frame and the pop-out skull surrounded by glowing purple lights, this piece combines gothic glamor (at least a low-budget version of it) with goofy, kitschy fun. This 15" tall frame is recommended for indoor use, making it a cute conversation piece for Halloween parties !

Beastie Toyz covered a lot of fun finds in this video, more than we can hope to fully dive into here. His sneak peek hardly even touched on all the Halloween costumes , lights, and other fun stuff Target's selling this season. Point being, there's still a lot of cool finds left for shoppers to discover. Whether you've got tons of Halloween money to burn or a tight decor budget, you'll find the right stuff to suit your terrifying tastes (and budgetary limits) at Target right now. Happy Pre-Halloween!
