GRAY COUNTY —One person died in an accident just before 9p.m. Saturday in Gray County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2005 Dodge Durango driven by Alegandro Santiago, 44, Deming, New Mexico, was westbound on U.S. 50 two miles west of Ingalls.
The SUV veered to the left into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a 2014 Peterbilt semi driven by Rudy Klassen, 37, Copeland.
EMS transported Santiago to St. Catherine Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Klassen was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP. Two juveniles were present in the semi. The KHP released no information on their status.
