Four workers hospitalized after crane collapse in Delray Beach
Four people are hospitalized after a crane collapsed at a Delray Beach construction site Thursday.
The incident happened shortly before noon. Delray Beach Fire Rescue responded to Sundy Village, the site of a mixed-use development under construction where the crane toppled over, near Southwest 1st Avenue and Southwest 1st Street.
Responders transported two workers to a nearby hospital as trauma alerts. The two others were taken to Delray Medical Center for evaluation.
The investigation has been turned over to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
OSHA is working to determine why the crane collapsed. All four workers were in the crane when the incident happened and no one was underneath the machinery.
