DELRAY BEACH FIRE RESCUE SAYS IT HAPPENED THIS MORNING AT THE SUNDY VILLAGE, WHICH IS A CONSTRUCTION PROJECT FOR RESIDENCES, RETAIL SHOPS AND RESTAURANTS ARE SOOJI NAM IS NEAR THE ACCIDENT SITE TO TELL US EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED. DELRAY BEACH FIRE OFFICIALS SAY THAT THERE RELIEVED THAT THE FOUR VICTIMS WILL BE OKAY. FIRE CREWS RUSHED TO SUNDY VILLAGE LOCATED AT THE INTERSECTION OF ATLANTIC AVENUE AND SWINTON AVENUE BEFORE NOON ON THURSDAY. WHEN THEY GOT HERE, THEY SAW FOUR CONSTRUCTION WORKERS INJURED AFTER A CRANE TOPPLED OVER. TWO OF THE WORKERS WERE TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL AS BASIC LIFE SUPPORT PATIENTS, WHILE TWO OTHERS WERE TAKEN AS TRAUMA ALERT.POFFICIALS SAY THIS TIME AN INCIDENT LIKE THIS HAS HAPPENED AT THE SUNDY VILLAGE AND OSHA IS NOW TAKING OVER THE INVESTIGATION TO DETERMINE WHAT EXACTLY LED THE CRANE TO TOPPLE OVER IN DELR

Four people are hospitalized after a crane collapsed at a Delray Beach construction site Thursday.The incident happened shortly before noon. Delray Beach Fire Rescue responded to Sundy Village, the site of a mixed-use development under construction where the crane toppled over, near Southwest 1st Avenue and Southwest 1st Street.Responders transported two workers to a nearby hospital as trauma alerts. The two others were taken to Delray Medical Center for evaluation. The investigation has been turned over to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. OSHA is working to determine why the crane collapsed. The incident happened shortly before noon. Delray Beach Fire Rescue responded to Sundy Village, the site of a mixed-use development under construction where the crane toppled over, near Southwest 1st Avenue and Southwest 1st Street.

Responders transported two workers to a nearby hospital as trauma alerts. The two others were taken to Delray Medical Center for evaluation.

The investigation has been turned over to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
