Frick Park Tavern Offers a Variety of Comfort Foods (Wed., 10/28/26)
Older Pittsburghers love to wax nostalgic about restaurants that are no longer. But in Regent Square, where the new Frick Park Tavern is, no one’s really talking about the former Ease Modern Comfort Cuisine which stood before it. Pittsburghers old—and young—are flocking to this newer iteration of space and cuisine that suits this diverse neighborhood perfectly. Interesting mains are Jimmy’s Signature Meatloaf, roasted half chicken, and the Tavern Steak. So, too, are the deviled eggs appetizer, about which my mother made me a snob. Other popular selections include the Build Your Own Burger option and the Salmon Wrap. Domestic and imported wine and beers, and craft cocktails are also offered. This restaurant could become a new Pittsburgh classic. Back patio open during good weather. Open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday.1100 S. Braddock Ave., Regent Square. (C.P.O.)

This Oakmont Pennsylvania Bakery Serves Some Of The Best Treats That Locals Love
During paczki season, one bakery can sell up to 12,000 of those Polish pastries in a single day. That is not a typo. That is a lot of jelly and powdered sugar leaving one building. The same kitchen runs 24 hours a day with about 220 people baking and decorating....

This Family-Owned Pennsylvania Grocery Store Has Barely Changed In 70 Years
Some places change with every passing trend, but a few manage to stay true to who they are. DeLallo Italian Marketplace in Jeannette, Pennsylvania, has been serving real Italian food since 1950, and after all these years, its heart still feels much the same. What started as a family business has grown into a destination for shoppers looking for authentic flavors, specialty ingredients, and the kind of old-fashioned food shopping experience that is becoming harder to find.
