Athens, Decatur home sales surge above 2023 levels, but not Huntsville
Home sales pushed back above last year’s numbers in the Athens and Decatur markets in April, but not in the biggest city in the state. While numbers were more muted in Huntsville, though, all three area markets saw sales increase last month over March, according to data from ValleyMLS.
Neighbor brothers recovering after both lose homes in Tennessee tornado
PROSPECT, Tenn. (WSMV) – Giles County brothers are recovering after a tornado ripped through their Prospect property during a tornado outbreak in Middle Tennessee last week. Paul Allred, 67, was critically injured when his trailer was thrown from its foundation and tumbled with him inside, breaking his back and some ribs, and causing various bruises and cuts around his body. A deep freezer is believed to be the cause of Paul’s broken back.
