Delight Man arrested for drug possession

On May 21st, Pike County Deputy Christ Gates stopped a pickup on Highway 84 for no tags. It was reported that the driver was identified as 51-year-old Brenda Moore of Delight.

As reported, Moore allegedly confessed that she smelled like marijuana and that she had smoked before she left her recent location. Gates then asked Moore was there anything illegal in the vehicle and Moore reportedly pointed to the center console area. It was reported that Gates had Moore step out of the vehicle and empty her pockets. Gates reportedly found suspected methamphetamine in a purse style wallet on the center console. Gates arrested Moore and advised her of her rights. Gates transported Moore to the Pike County Jail and Moore was charged with possession of a schedule two controlled substance, failure to register vehicle, and driving on a suspended license.
