FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. — A man is now facing murder charges after deputies say he struck another man with his vehicle intentionally in Del Rey.
According to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, 48-year-old Jaime Loza was hit by an SUV back on March 16, near Carmel and Morro Avenues.

When crews arrives, Lazo was found on the road and taken to the hospital. He died a few days later.
The accused driver of a black Chevy Tahoe was later identified as 54-year-old Rolando Sanchez. Detectives do believe this may have been an intentional act.

Deputies located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop near S. Bethel and E. Jefferson Avenues.
Sanchez was arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail with charges of murder.
