Trombone Shorty will play the Summer Stage at Tree House Brewing Company in South Deerfield on Aug. 28.
Born Troy Andrews, Trombone Shorty made his first appearance at age 4, performing with Bo Diddley. By age 6, he was leading his own brass band; and by his teenage years, he was hired by Lenny Kravitz to join the band he assembled for his Electric Church World Tour.
Since 2010, he’s released four studio albums and toured with everyone from Jeff Beck to the Red Hot Chili Peppers, as well as playing Coachella, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Newport Folk, Newport Jazz, and many other festivals. He has also performed four times at the Grammy Awards and five times at the White House.
