Butte High levy on track to pass; recount possible
BUTTE, Mont. — A tie from last week’s school elections in Butte has finally been broken, and a major high school student safety and security levy is now on track to pass. NBC Montana was the only television station present in the room where 22 provisional ballots were counted: 12 votes for the levy, 9 against, and one over vote. An over vote means that a citizen improperly cast their ballot by selecting too many options.

Additional repairs impact detours to Montana Tech, Mineral Museum, nearby trails
MISSOULA, Mont. — Additional repairs are underway by Butte- Silver Bow that will impact detours already put in place to bypass construction on Park Street. Construction of Montana Tech's new heating system prompted the closure of Park Street from the Marcus Daly statue to the west corner of the Student Union Building. Construction is expected to take place from May 6- August 2024.
