It was a great but emotional weekend downtown at Comerica Park as we said goodbye and thanks to Miggy one last time. We have known for months that Miguel Cabrera was calling it quits at the end of this year, I don’t think a lot of us actually thought that time would get here. Over the weekend, fans, players and this city said goodbye to Miggy’s playing days one final time. What a scene it was all weekend at the park. From seeing Miggy’s mom and dad throw out the first pitch, to see Miggy make an out at first to end his career. It was truly a special weekend that I know I won’t forget anytime soon.

The Pistons announced Monday that Livers is expected to miss six-to-eight weeks with a Grade 3 left ankle sprain, Omari Sankofa of the Detroit Free Press reports. This is a brutal blow for Livers, as he had a lot to prove during training camp. With more depth in Detroit this season, Livers was already on the outskirts of the rotation, and this injury will push him down the depth chart even further. He made 52 appearances for Detroit last year, averaging 6.7 points and 2.8 rebounds in 23.0 minutes per game.
