A De Soto man with a lengthy criminal history of assault and harassment was arrested Wednesday after allegedly threatening to kill his brother as well as a De Soto woman.
Brian Alan Greif, 52, of 500 Adair St., De Soto, was charged with two counts of first-degree harassment.
The incident began about 3 p.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of Maple Street in De Soto, where an officer of the De Soto Police Department responded to a report of a person “threatening to kill” another person.
The officer made contact with the male victim, who was in a pickup truck. The victim told the officer that Greif allegedly “had gotten upset and started in on him and threatened to kill him,” according to court records.
The officer made contact with the female victim, who was inside the Maple Street residence. The victim told the officer that Greif allegedly said that “he would kill her if she allowed the police to come in and get him,” according to court records.
The officer made contact with Greif, who told the officer that the male victim “ran him over with the trailer that had been attached to the pickup,” according to court records.
Greif is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $5,000 cash-only bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing April 7 in Dallas County District Court.
Greif was convicted of first-degree harassment 1997 in Dallas County District Court. He was convicted of first-degree harassment in 2007 in Dallas County District Court. He was convicted of second-degree harassment in 2007 in Dallas County District Court. He was convicted of second-degree criminal mischief in 2017 in Dallas County District Court.
