MPD: Officers arrest man who broke into business, stole items in Northwest DC

WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said officers arrested a man after he burglarized a business in Northwest D.C. on Wednesday.

Police said that at about 1:05 a.m., the suspect broke into a business in the 500 block of D St.

When the suspect got inside, he stole items and then left the area, according to police.

Officers searched the area and arrested the suspect, identified as Duane Jacob, 39, of no fixed address.

Authorities charged Jacob with Burglary Two.
