When rumors started swirling on social media that one of the members of Discovery Channel’s hit tv show Moonshiners was badly injured, many wanted to know what had happened. Josh Owens; who is no stranger to injuries and accidents; was badly injured in a motorcyle accident during a race at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. His injuries were so extensive that there were even rumors on Facebook that he may have died. Those rumors proved to be false but the injuries to him were extensive.

A Florida homeowner was attacked by an alligator when he opened his front door on March 4. According to the Daytona Beach Police Department, the man was responding to noises on his porch at about 9:45 p.m. when he heard something that he believed was someone looking for his son. However, when he opened the door, he was bitten in the upper thigh by the alligator.
