Meteorologist George Waldenberger said Sanford, Daytona Beach and Leesburg all hit records because it’s so hot for March.
In this heat, a few stray showers are possible into the evening, with most areas dry again.

Overnight, areas of fog will be possible.
Also, watch for pockets of smoke in Volusia County overnight and Monday morning.

A wildfire west of Daytona Beach could emit smoke and reduce visibility on roadways near the I-4 and I-94 intersection.
We have a heightened risk of brushfires with the hot and dry weather.

The heat drags on for the next couple of days, with more records likely on Monday.
If you like cooler weather, a mini-cooldown should arrive Wednesday and Thursday, and then more 90s next weekend.
