The company says the new warehouse will hold up to 600,000 tires.

Nokian Tyres and the BC Construction Group broke ground on the warehouse this month.

Once finished, the warehouse will be 350,000 square-feet.

They said it will be adjacent to the Nokian Tyres factory in Dayton.

Nokian Tyres also said the factory is currently doubling production to manufacture up to four million tires per year by the warehouse’s completion.

They are hiring 125 new team members as well. You can apply by visiting their website.

David Korda is the Dayton Factory Operations Director for Nokian Tyres. He said, “As Nokian Tyres grows in Southeast Tennessee and throughout North America, this storage warehouse will help us manage the increased volume of tires flowing to our customers. It’s another step forward in our quest to deliver safe, sustainable tires for North American drivers.”

The company said their Dayton factory is one of the most advanced and sustainable tire production facilities in the world.

Upon completion, automated conveyors will send tires from the factory, on an overhead bridge and to the warehouse. The company says that once tires reach the new warehouse, robotics will automatically stack them into steel storage racks.
