44 FREE CONCERTS: Levitt Pavilion Dayton announces 2024 season
A wonderfully eclectic array of artists will be presented during Levitt Pavilion Dayton’s 2024 Eichelberger concert season. Announced May 2, the lineup contains 44 free concerts ranging from Grammy-nominated performers such as The War and Treaty and E.U. to diverse acts locally and nationally stemming from the landscapes of country, blues, pop, funk, R&B, soul, reggae, Americana and more. The season launches Thursday, May 30 with Monophonics and concludes Saturday, Sept. 14 with a concert saluting veterans.

Dayton restaurant Sueño hosts Cinco de Mayo celebration with all-you-can-eat taco bar
Sueño in downtown Dayton is honoring and celebrating its Mexican heritage and culture with its first annual Cinco de Mayo party from noon to 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 5. Tickets are $40 per person and includes a two hour all-you-can-eat taco bar with Mexican street food by Chef Morgan Franz. The taco bar will include Beef Barbacoa, Chicken Tinga, Roasted Seasonal Veggies, Cochinita, Pork Al Pastor, Onion, Cilantro, Pickled Red Onion, Salsa de Arbol and Salsa Tamulado. There will be chips and dips such as Guacamole, Sik’il Pak, Salsa Roja and Salsa Verde. Mexican street food and sides include Esquites, Flautas, Nopales, Rice and Frijoles.
The Cookie Girl’s stuffed cookies are a treat for Dayton area
Dayton native Casie Morris rebranded her stuffed cookie business at the beginning of the year after customers continuously called her “The Cookie Girl.”. The Cookie Girl, formerly known as Love Stuft Cookies, started in February 2023. Morris was a bodybuilder for three years and a coach/fitness trainer for about 10 years before she started making cookies. She recalled always seeing giant stuffed cookies with candy bars inside at vendor expos during bodybuilding shows for competitors to indulge in after the competition.

Dayton coffee shop’s second location hits snag in approval
FAIRBORN, Ohio (Dayton Business Journal) -- A local coffee shop hopes to renovate a vacant building in pursuit of opening its second location. Muddy Goose Coffee Company, a "small-batch roastery" in the Dayton region, is eyeing the opening of a second location at 418 W. Dayton Dr. in downtown Fairborn. However, the city is pushing back on proposed site plans, preventing the plan from moving forward in its current state.
