The crash happened on Saturday just before midnight, where Dawson Forest Road and Black Mill Valley Road intersect.

Deputies said a pedestrian was hit by a car traveling westbound toward Highway 9.

According to the sheriff’s office, the car is believed to be a 2001-2008 white Jaguar sedan, possibly X or S type.

Dawson officials said the car will have damage on its passenger side, particularly in the mirror area. The car drove away, leaving the pedestrian in critical condition, the sheriff’s office said.

The picture in the article is not of the actual car but may look similar.

Authorities have not released the pedestrian’s identity or age.
