NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A storm raced through Middle Tennessee Friday night knocking down trees and knocking out power.

Damage to homes and businesses were confirmed from storms Friday into Saturday in Perry County, Lincoln County, Davidson County and Dickson County. One minor injury is reported in Davidson County.

The National Weather Service out of Huntsville assessed damage Saturday in Southern Middle Tennessee. Survey teams determined a EF-2 tornado hit around the Fayetteville area in Lincoln County.

On Saturday, the Nashville Electric Service restored service to more than 4,000 of the 5,000 customers that lost power overnight, Dickson Electric on Sunday was working to restore power to a couple thousand, and Meriwether Lewis Electric Cooperative in Perry County had 900 customers without power.

FOX Weather was in Lobelville Saturday and shot damage of several outbuildings and homes that were damaged, as well as power outages.

Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers helped on Saturday with storm damage in the Lobelville community of Perry County. They asked people to stay out of the area so first responders could help storm victims.

The Lincoln County Sheriff's Department reports that the Lincoln County Medical Center received some structural damage. FOX 17 News reached out to them and is waiting to hear back on the extent of damage.

Also, several cars were smashed in Smyrna next to the high school, when a large light pole fell on them at neighboring apartments.

This storm was part of the same system that killed at least 24 people in Mississippi. CLICK HERE to see photos of the aftermath there.
