The Great American Brass Band Festival is bringing back Downtown Downbeat starting this Thursday, May 2.

Downtown Downbeat is a summer concert series in Danville happening the first Thursday of each month this summer. The series kicks off with Lexington dance band Superfecta.

The Boyle County Theater will be the opening act starting at 6 p.m. at Constitution Square Park. Boyle County students will perform some theater pieces. Superfecta will then take the stage at Weisiger Park at 7 p.m.

The Entertainment District will be activated, which means that people can take alcoholic drinks ‘to go’ from businesses downtown. People with drinks must stay within the boundaries, between Fourth and Second Streets, and Walnut and Broadway Streets.
