There is a chance for severe weather in parts of North Texas Thursday night, especially in the northern counties.
The Tornado Watch is in effect until midnight for most North Texas.
The main threat is a supercell making its way through the Red River area that has a history of producing tornados and very large hail.
The storms could move into the Metroplex from about 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
If storms do pop, there is a good chance they could be severe bringing the risk of hail that we've had over the past several days.
There is a 30 percent chance of rain, high winds and up to egg-sized hail, with the risk climbing higher depending on how far north you live.
There is also a very low chance that we could see a tornado or two.
Reminder: 30% of coverage means that many people will not see a drop of rain.

While official temperatures will likely stay below 100 today, heat indexes will be over 105 for many today.
