A Dallas murder trial scheduled for today has been put on hold because the accused killer cut off his ankle monitor and disappeared.
Police say Tyrese Simmons is charged with murder in the death of a nine-year-old boy who was caught in the line of fire when two rival rap singers exchanged gunfire in East Dallas nearly four years ago.
Simmons was arrested and charged but was released from jail with the provision that he wear the ankle monitor.
Now that he's vanished, a new warrant is out for his capture.
