A Dallas police officer is recovering after being involved in a crash early this morning with a man suspected of driving while intoxicated.
Dallas Police say the crash happened at the intersection of Main and Hall streets in Deep Ellum shortly before 1AM Thursday.
Officer Brian Martinez says the officer was transported to a local hospital but his injuries are not life-threatening.
Police say the other car was being driven by a man identified as 39-year-old Francisco Fernandez.
Officer Martinez says the man failed a field sobriety test and was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
