Nearly three weeks after the ransomware attack on the city of Dallas, there is more fall out this morning. Members of the Dallas police and fire departments don't buy the city's claims that no personal data has been breached, and employees are demanding protection.

The departments were made aware that those responsible for the attack were going to release the personal information for the city employees that they tapped into.

Both the Dallas police and fire associations say they were repeatedly assured that their personal information was not at risk but say the city mislead them.

They also claimed the city manager's office was warned for the last several years that their software was not adequate and needed to be update with security added. They claim the city did not act.

They now want the city to buy identity theft protection for everyone in the police and fire department, at no cost to the member.

The city is still trying to get completely back online. Several city departments are still having issues.
