A man has been killed in a Pleasant Grove shooting overnight.
Just past 11 p.m. shots were fired in the parking lot of a Golden Chick restaurant on the service road of Highway 175 near Saint Augustine.
The victim was dead on scene but the shooter had vanished. Crime scene technicians examined several vehicles including a gray pick-up and a red SUV. They also marked several pieces of evidence on the ground, possibly including spent shell casings.
Dallas police have not said why the victim was killed or who did it.
