- Steven Scar of Adair was traveling on U.S. Interstate 80 near the 112 mile marker when his vehicle was sideswiped by another vehicle, whose driver stopped briefly and asked Scar not to call the police and then left the scene. No injuries were reported. Damage to Scar’s vehicle was estimated at $2,500.
May 30, 2023
- Yamiah Freemont, 19, of 55 S.E. Windfield Parkway, Waukee, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of fifth-degree theft.
- Shauna Else, 32, of 8445 Rosewood St., Dexter, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of compulsory education violation.
- Heath Thompson, 44, of 1405Seventh Ave., Belle Plaine, was arrested on a warrant for probation violation.
- Hunter Keasey, 23, of 24531 N. Ave., Dallas Center, was arrested on a warrant for probation violation.
May 31, 2023
- Laurie Ann Nahalea of Ankeny was traveling in the 26500 block of 195th Street when her vehicle entered the ditch for an unknown reason, struck a farm drive and landed back in the ditch in an upright position. Nahalea was transported by Dallas County EMS to Mercy One Medical Center in Des Moines. Damage was estimated at $10,000.
