Wisconsin -- Beer Tasting -- Train Rides
The East Troy Railroad Museum (often branded as the East Troy Electric Railroad) offers something increasingly rare in American preservation: a living, rideable slice of electric interurban history. Instead of steam plumes or diesel thunder, this is the world of trolley poles, overhead wire, vintage traction motors, and the easy rhythm of a train built for short hops between communities. It’s an experience that feels intimate and surprisingly immersive—especially when the museum pairs its historic equipment with themed excursions like its Beer Tasting Train, a 2½-hour evening ride designed to blend scenic travel with guided sampling.

Should you yield to a merging bus? Milwaukee has a clear answer
I froze in thought as I pulled alongside the bus. To my right, a Milwaukee city bus was stopped, waiting to pull back into traffic. It would need to merge before the intersection ahead, but I was first in line to go: Do I drive on or let the bus in? My moment of indecision quickly caught up with me. I paused for just a few seconds and the bus pulled ahead. I was honked at by another driver for causing the brief delay. I watched in my rearview mirror as the driver behind me threw up their hands, apparently in disagreement with my decision. I felt a twinge of shame at having potentially inconvenienced other drivers. More: Milwaukee just announced 60 new traffic calming projects. Here's where they are I've found myself mired in this same traffic conundrum more than once. In fact, it has happened so often at the intersection of Wells Street and Eighth Street that it has started to feel personal. As a result, the dilemma has stuck with me. I've used up more than a few pages in my notepad trying to visualize the situation. I've also heard a few more impatient honks while yielding
