Bike decorating contest Announced for Bradley County Pink Tomato Festival
WARREN, Ark. – On Friday, May 10, 2024, Judge Bruce and Lou Anne Anderson announced their sponsorship of a Bike Decorating Contest set to take place during the upcoming Bradley County Pink Tomato Festival. The contest is scheduled for Saturday, June 15, with registration starting at 8:30 am and judging commencing at 9 am. The event will unfold in the parking area of Tony Cathey’s office, situated at the intersection of South Myrtle and East Cypress Streets in Warren.
Genesis Garay to attend Duke University for masters degree
Genesis Garay, of Hermitage, recently was accepted into the masters program at Duke University to obtain her masters in Biomedical Engineering. Garay applied to 5 different masters programs, including Johns Hopkins, Rice, Boston University, and Georgia Tech. She was accepted into all five, but has chosen to attend Duke. She is the daughter of Jose Garay and Ela Ramirez of Hermitage. Genesis is a graduate of Hermitage High School and Arkansas Tech University.
