Update: The current severe thunderstorm warning will be expiring at 5:30 p.m.
The warning was for Butler and Crenshaw counties. "The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property. Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 10 p.m. for south central Alabama," says the National Weather Service.
