Rusty A. Ray of Crawfordsville passed away suddenly Wednesday, March 29, 2023, in Lebanon. He was 61.
Rusty was a jokester who liked to make people laugh. He loved to play guitar and perform for others. He previously worked at Fleetwood.
Born May 6, 1961, at Crawfordsville, he was the son of Herschell Steele and Kathleen Harris Steele. He attended Crawfordsville High School.
Surviving family includes: daughter Jessica Brown; three sons, Jason Ray, Justin Ray and Joshua Ray; brother Randy Steele; sister Tina Cummings; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 5 at Burkhart Funeral Home. Services will begin at 2 p.m. After the service, he will be laid to rest at Indian Creek Hill Cemetery on State Road 47 South.
