Three things to know about Cramerton's Goat Island Games

Cramerton is holding the Goat Island Games on Saturday, an all-day event that'll include a corn hole tournament, a ping pong tournament and a 5K race.

Here's what you need to know:

1. What's happening Friday

The Goat Island Games will start Friday with yoga and a disc golf putting contest, said Cramerton Parks and Recreation Director Brandon Free.

Runners who are participating in the 5K can pick up their bibs on Friday, and there will also be a disc golf putting contest and yoga. Register for the 5K at https://raceroster.com/events/2024/87903/goat-island-games-5k.

2. What's happening Saturday

On Saturday, the games will start at 8:30 a.m. with the 5K, and there will also be a variety of other activities, including the ping pong and corn hole tournaments and an adult and youth fishing tournament. 3. History

The first Goat Island Games started in 2016. While the games paused during the worst of the pandemic, they have been held every year since.

"We look forward to everyone coming out. It's a great event, you know, it represents the town of Cramerton well, and I think that everyone will have a great day," Free said.

Singer Caleb Davis will perform live at the games.
