A Mendocino County man has been found guilty of murdering a man outside a Covelo bar. Dino Blackbear Lincoln was convicted by a jury for the second degree murder of Kenneth Whipple as well as assault with a deadly weapon and reckless driving while evading police. He’ll be sentenced on July 27th and faces up to life in prison. Lincoln’s attorney is planning to appeal. Lincoln killed Whipple in September of 2021 outside The Buckhorn Bar at Greely Street and Highway 162. A couple days later, he led police on a chase in Fort Bragg resulting in another driver getting injured. The chase ended when Lincoln crashed into a ditch and ran away. He was arrested the following day.
