Fort Worth, TX – A developing storm system is expected to bring increasing clouds and scattered rain showers to portions of North and Central Texas this weekend, with the greatest rain chances arriving Saturday night before warmer temperatures return next week.

According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, Friday, Nov. 6, will feature seasonable November weather, with afternoon temperatures ranging from the middle 60s to upper 70s across the region.

Rain chances increase Saturday night.

Forecasters expect clouds to spread from southwest to northeast Saturday night as the next weather disturbance approaches Texas.

The highest rain probabilities are concentrated across portions of Central Texas, particularly west and southwest of Waco and around the Killeen region.

The National Weather Service forecast map indicates rain chances ranging from 40% to 60% in some areas, while portions of the Dallas-Fort Worth region have lower probabilities.

Scattered showers could continue into Sunday across portions of Central Texas.

Dallas-Fort Worth faces a cooler weekend.

Friday temperatures will reach approximately 72 degrees at DFW Airport, with overnight lows near 54 degrees.

Saturday brings breezy conditions and highs near 69 degrees.

Sunday temperatures should reach approximately 70 degrees, followed by 72 degrees Monday.

Farther south, Waco, Temple and Killeen can expect Saturday highs near 71 degrees before temperatures cool to approximately 68 degrees Sunday.

Residents planning weekend travel or outdoor activities should monitor changing conditions, particularly where scattered showers develop.

A significant warmup arrives next week.

The approaching storm system is expected to move east by early next week, allowing increasing sunshine and warmer temperatures to return.

Dallas-Fort Worth could reach 75 degrees Tuesday and 78 degrees Wednesday.

Central Texas will also warm, with highs near 73 degrees Tuesday and 77 degrees Wednesday around Waco, Temple and Killeen.

By midweek, temperatures could run approximately 10 degrees above seasonal averages.
