Council Bluffs Police Investigating Two Deaths

(Council Bluffs) The Council Bluffs Police Department is investigating two deaths.

On Sunday, at 12:18 a.m. Council Bluffs Police and Fire & Rescue responded to the 2100 block of S. 29th Street in reference to a man down. Upon arrival, officers and medics found 36-year-old Deonte Ivory, of Omaha, Nebraska, deceased on the roadway.

At 7:02 a.m., Police and Fire & Rescue were dispatched to the entrance of the Western Trails Historic Center in the 3200 block of S. 24th Street for another man down. A citizen walking their dog found the deceased body of 25-year-old Michael Anderson, of Omaha, Nebraska, on the ground.

Autopsies on Ivory and Anderson will be performed this week.

Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances of both deaths, including whether or not they are related.
