Coshocton's annual kids fishing derby will be May 4 at Lake Park

COSHOCTON − The annual kids fishing derby will be May 4 at Lake Park, 23253 Ohio 83. Registration is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with fishing until 2 p.m.

Free bait will be provided to every registered child and they will receive a ticket for a free hot dog and drink. Other food will be available for purchase.

There is are $10 prizes for every trout caught and for every fish 9 inches or longer. Boys and girls will compete for other prizes by age group. Door prizes are at 2 p.m.

This event is sponsored by the Coshocton County Sportsman’s Association, Friends of the Park and the Coshocton Park District. Friends of the Park will be stocking the lake with blue gill, bass, crappie and trout valued at $2,500. Fish are from Fender’s Fish Hatchery.
