A Coralville woman faces charges that she threatened her neighbor with a baseball bat, then a knife, then hit the person with a metal pot.
That’s according to Coralville Police, who say the incident occurred just before 9pm Friday. Arrest records indicate 30-year-old Rena Rocqumore left her Holiday Road apartment while armed with a bat, then later while armed with a knife with an eight-inch blade and a metal pot. The second time, she allegedly struck her neighbor’s door with the knife and pot, causing damage. At one point, Rocqumore reportedly struck the neighbor with the pot once the door was opened, causing an injury to the person’s wrist and thumb.
Arriving police detained Rocqumore, who was allegedly uncooperative. She reportedly resisted handcuffing. One officer reports receiving two scratches on their left forearm during the scuffle.
Rocqumore is charged with Assault While Using or Displaying a Weapon and Interference With Official Acts Causing Bodily Injury. If convicted on both charges, Rocqumore faces a maximum of three years in jail.
