CORALVILLE, Iowa (KCRG) - North West Junior High School students returned to the classroom after a bomb threat forced a temporary evacuation Thursday morning.

Coralville police said they were called at about 8:40 a.m. after a one teacher received an email threatening them and the entire school.

Students and staff were evacuated for about an hour while police and a K9 unit searched the school. However, the all-clear was given at about 10 a.m. after police were unable to find any threatening devices.

Police did not say whether this incident was related to the “swatting calls,” or fake threats, that were made targeting numerous schools across the state earlier this week.
