4 Middle School Cross Country Teams Compete in Race

The cross country season is in full swing in Coral Springs, with the middle school teams competing this week.

With the boys and girls both competing in the race, Javier Flores finished first with a time of 9:43.4, while Madison Simpson had the top time for the girls and finished 11th overall for Millennium 6-12 Collegiate Academy .

Nicholas Johnson finished fifth, with Peyton Baker, Tahj Jackson, and Ryu Young-Sang placing in the top ten.

Kemoy Williams, Joshua Smith, Jahree Pierre, and Corey Parchment all finished with nearly identical times. Kaelyn Edwards placed 20th overall and third overall for the girls followed by Leilani Wynter and Nya Sowell, Olivia Noel, Eli Costa, Kailee Torres, Elijah Porter-Hall, and Livia Eniola.

Forest Glen Middle School finished second as a team, led by Marcus Gentilhomme, who placed second with a time of 9:50. Tyler Cline finished sixth, while Alyson Thomas placed 15th overall and second for the girls. Allison Macarulay was next to finish before Daniella Concepcion Cortes, Zachary Majdoch, Allyssa Sears, Daniel Gonzalez, Natalia Cuevas, Jonathon Flores, Josiah Dello Stritto, Sylvia Majdoch, Kylie Dunkley and Isaiah Stoneham.

Coral Springs Middle School competed against Westglades and Dillard Middle School at Heritage Park and also shined with Antonella Dominguez placing first with a time of 13.39.9. She ran alongside Isabel Hilmers, Arianna Huriash, and Akeelah Senatus, while Brayden Basso had the top time for the boys followed by Jacob Huriash, Ty-Joir Joseph, Jacob Casillas-Bell, Malik Mckinzy, Miguel Castro and Benjamin Penevolpe.

Coral Springs Charter Middle School ran at Pine Crest, with both the boys and girls finishing second. Austin Stewart recorded the top time for the boys and finished sixth, with Tommy Foster also placing in the top ten. Brandon Martinez placed 11th, while Mason Suarez and Asher Daly also ran.

For the girls, Hailey Lockwitz finished fifth, with Taylor Hartley placing eighth. Sadie Suarez and Cecilia Kozlowski placed 13th and 14, respectively, while Jocelyn Parido, Valentina Reid, Zulma Baptiste, and Kara Lubinger competed in the race.
