MAMMOTH HOT SPRINGS, Wyo. —

Yellowstone National Park announced it received an $118 million construction contract to replace the Yellowstone River Bridge, helping preserve year-round public access to and from the park's Northeast Entrance and to Silver Gate and Cooke City.

Officials said the construction contract will replace the current 604-foot bridge, which was built in 1963, with a new 1,285-foot-long and 175-foot-high steel girder bridge.
