Conway police arrest 5 juveniles in car break-in attempts

The Conway Police Department has arrested five suspects, ages 14 to 16 after they were caught attempting to break into vehicles.

According to a Facebook Post, officers were sent to Fountaine Bleau Central Landing on Bruce Street in reference to a report of suspicious activity on May 14.

Police said that several individuals were seen attempting to break into vehicles on the property.

When they arrived, officers found the individuals who attempted to flee on foot until they entered a vehicle and drove away.

Authorities said a traffic stop was initiated on the vehicle, resulting in a vehicle pursuit.

During the pursuit, three of the individuals fled from the vehicle on foot and were unable to be located at that time.

However, the driver of the vehicle was ultimately taken into custody at a residence in the 200 block of Center Street.

An investigation was done, and the identities of the individuals who fled from the vehicle was was found.

Conway police said the occupants were all juvenile suspects who were involved in breaking and entering events spanning from May 4 to the 14.

Conway detectives initiated five search warrants with help from the Faulkner County Sheriff's Office and were able to recover several stolen items.

The stolen items included two firearms, firearm accessories, marijuana, a wallet, and a credit card.

Five juvenile suspects, ages 14 to 16 were arrested in connection to the incidents.

Their charges include theft by receiving, theft of property, breaking or entering, and possession of a handgun by a minor.
