Gracie Barra is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu academy. Owner and head instructor Shawn Kennedy said the Gracie Barra-Conroe, located at 4507 W. Davis St., Ste. 100, is expected to open July 1.

Kennedy said the academy is running a special deal for the grand opening where the first 50 members to sign up will pay $199.
