Caterer, restaurant owner opens Woods on 84 Event Center in Painesville Township
After decades of catering food, John Roberto is opening his own event center in Painesville Township. The owner of J&J Catering is preparing to welcome guests to the new Woods on 84 Event Center at 980 Riverside Drive, which is next to his Fire and Ice restaurant. He was putting finishing touches on the center on May 31, though he said that he is “available to take bookings any time.”

Interest surrounds vacant Sand Bar property, Wickliffe officials say
Wickliffe Mayor Joe Sakacs says that there is interest in the Sand Bar property, which now has been sitting vacant for quite some time. During a recent City Council meeting, Councilperson Sherry Koski inquired about the property, located at 29110 Euclid Ave., noting she occasionally gets questions about it. According to Building Commissioner Ray Sack, the owner has been paying vacant fees and the bocce ball courts on the property have been worked on.
