Colusa Ducks finish season on high note

The Colusa Ducks competed in the CYSSA State skeet shoot in Stockton, on Sunday, May 21.

Individual awards were given in multiple divisions. In the varsity division, Grayson Hardwick took second place with a 144/150, and Dustin Wurm took fifth place with a 142/150. In the JV division, Raegan Parisio took fifth place with a 130/150. In the IA division, Robert Shadley took second place with a 144/150, and Landon Barrett took third place with a 141/150. In the IE division, Caleb Manhart took second place with a 134/150, and in the rookie division, Riley Pearson took second place with a 123/150.

Squad awards were given to Grayson Hardwick, Dustin Wurm, and Tanner Hansen in the varsity division, taking a second place award. Raegan Parisio, Landon Barrett, and Robert Shadley were awarded second place in the JV division, and Max Reading, Jayce Lee, and Walker Ryan took third place in the IA division.

The Colusa Ducks took third place high team in the varsity series; third place in the varsity state shoot; first place in the JR club series; and first place JR club state shoot.

The team will compete in July for the CYSSA open national tournament in Las Vegas.
“It’s a long day shooting tree flights, but the kids shot consistently all day and finished the year on a very high note,” said Bruce Hardwick, head coach. “A big thank you to all the parents and coaches who worked so hard to make this season so successful.” ■
