Yelp ranked the top 100 burgers in America. Which Columbus restaurants made the cut?

Two Columbus spots made it onto Yelp's list of top 100 burgers in America.

The only Ohio spots to rank, Bareburger is No. 51 and Northstar Café sneaks in on the list at No. 100.

Yelp, which publishes reviews of restaurants, selected businesses in its restaurants and food categories that had many reviews mentioning "burgers," according to the site. Then it used factors including volume and ratings of reviews to rank the restaurants from one to 100. If a business had multiple locations ranking, Yelp just noted the highest-ranked location.

Through the ranking process, Yelp found that reviewers favored certain aspects of their burgers, including BBQ burgers, plant-based patties and different types of buns.

Here's a look at who made the "Yelp’s Top 100 Burgers in America" list, which was created in celebration of National Burger Day on May 28:

Bareburger in the Short North

The Short North restaurant Bareburger serves organic burgers and is a franchise of the brand, which was founded in New York City in 2009. It opened locally in 2014 as the chain's 18th location and its first outside of the New York area.

It landed at No. 51 on Yelp's list.

The chain offers burgers made from beef, bison, elk, and turkey. There also are Impossible burgers and patties made from black beans and poblano peppers as well as sweet potato, kale and wild rice.

In addition, the restaurant has chicken sandwiches, salads, bowls, vegan chicken nuggets and more.

It's open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. at 463 N. High St.

Northstar Café in the Short North

Capping the list at No. 100 is Northstar Café, also on North High Street in Columbus, though the restaurant has six Ohio locations.

The organic eatery at 951 N. High St. also offers salads, bowls and pizza and was opened by a local couple in 2004, with the Short North location its first.

It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and is open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, with brunch served instead of lunch on Saturday and Sunday.
