The Ohio State Buckeyes came into the 2022-23 college basketball season with high expectations and a ton of talent. They didn’t live up to the hype as a team, but they still had a number of standout players like senior forward Justice Suing thrive on the court.

Suing was a key player on the Buckeyes this season, averaging 12.3 points per game along with 5.2 rebounds per game. He revealed on social media Wednesday that he will move forward with his basketball career by entering his name into the 2023 NBA Draft.

“I’d like to thank God first and foremost because without Him I wouldn’t be where I am today. My years at Ohio State have been filled with unforgettable moments and invaluable lessons that I will hold on to for the rest of my life. I’m forever grateful for the friendships and bonds I’ve built with Coach Holtmann, the staff, and my teammates. Scarlet and Gray will always be etched in my heart.

“To my Mom, Dad and family, your unwavering love and support have been the foundation of all my success. Thank you for the sacrifices you’ve made to allow me to pursue my passion. With that being said, I’m excited to announce that I am entering my name into the 2023 NBA Draft.”

It is certainly a surprising move considering Sueing had one more year of college eligibility.  Many college basketball fans took notice of this decision from Sueing and offered their opinion on the decision.

This is the second standout Ohio State player to enter his name into the NBA Draft. Freshman sensation Brice Sensabaugh declared for the draft earlier this month.

While Sensabaugh is expected by most to be a consensus first-round pick, Justice Suing seems to be a player that will likely be a borderline second-round pick that could certainly be a free agent signing should he go undrafted.
